A closer look at the artwork

Book: Life Stinks! So Why Can’t I?
Author: J. Allen Shaw
Illustrator: Sadiqa Akhter

Two children introduce this cover through contrasting expressions and open gestures. The bright green foreground and blue sky frame a large, playful title.

Visual storytelling on the cover

Distinct hairstyles, clothing and poses make the two characters easy to tell apart.

The characters face the reader, keeping their reactions at the centre of the composition.

The title sits above the figures, while the author and illustrator credits remain separate below.

This entry documents the supplied cover and illustration credit.
